Today we went to the beach. It took some convincing, but as usual she was loving it once we were out and about. We drove through where all of the fires were, along the coast to Malibu, the through fruit fields, stopped at Ralphs and made our way back home. Gam couldn't believe how big the fire was and how much damage it did.
We rolled down the windows and let the warm ocean air in. Once we got there she didn't want to get out, but she loved being able to see the ocean and smell the salty air. We stopped at a fruit stand and bought some oranges. On the way back we stopped by Ralphs to pick up some groceries. It ended up being more work than I thought, but it was very worth it. Gam loved it, and she really enjoyed going to the grocery store and being able to show me the exact donuts she likes.
On our way home Gam turned to me and said, "Thank you a million times over. I enjoyed today" She said her favorite part was just seeing and smelling the ocean.
